Marie Elizabeth Kilroy (nee Spellman) Beloved wife of the late Joe for 57 years; devoted daughter of the late Ed and Mary Spellman; loving mother of Pat, Mike (Mary), Sheila (John) Joyce, Joe (Mary Joyce), Gerry (Betty), Ed (Sue), Siobhan (Dan) Treacy, Kevin (Deb); cherished grandmother of Mike (Liz), Pat SSG US Army (Jamie), Ryan, Hannah, Mairead, Grainne, John Joe, and Sara Kilroy, Kathleen (Bryan) Cosgriff, Caitlin (Scott) Ruzinsky, Meaghan (Neil) Offerman, Molly (David) Nicolau, Siobhain and Ciara Joyce, Darragh, Daniel, Ciara, and Sean Treacy, and the late Paddy Kilroy; great grandmother of Grace, Colin, and Jameson Kilroy and William Ruzinsky; sister to the late Julia Barbara Vacala (the late Bill); aunt to many nieces and nephews in the United States, Canada, and Ireland, including Seamus (Susan), Siobhan (Mike), Fiona, and Seamus Reid and the Vacala family; dear cousin to many in the United States and Ireland. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home located at 625 Busse Hwy. in Park Ridge. Funeral Tuesday, family and friends are asked to meet at Queen of All Saints Basilica for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery. So sorry to hear of the passing of Marie. She and my mother Rita Kenny were first cousins. My mother, Marie and Joe, and JB and Bill were great companions and friends over many years. While they are gone, they are never forgotten. Marie was a beautiful woman, on the inside as well as the outside. Her and the Kilroy, Vacala families will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
