I am so sorry for your loss.

Even though we didn't get a chance to know her well, Maria's life and passing has a had a far reaching impact on us. Our deepest and heartfelt symathy goes to the close ones who's lives she touched.

Our hearts go out to all of you at this very sad time. Your memories of Maria, showed us what a beautiful young woman she was. Her valiant fight with her loving family by her side, inspired us all. I was truly moved at her mass, by the love that surrounded Maria and continues in the Bruno family. John and I are very sorry for your extreme loss.

Dear Tom and Sharon,

I had Maria's baby shower and she was there just barely born. Unfortunately I have not seen her since her baby years but I have seen her in all of your Christmas pictures. When I read of her death my heart went out to all of you. Please know that my prayers are with you to be strong. Hold on to all your wonderful memories till you meet again.

Maria and I became friends in college, and she instantly made me feel like family. I was always impressed that even though she had a huge loving family she treated all of her friends as family also. I will miss her completely. My everlasting love to her entire family especially Tim.

Maria was a wonderful person with a generous heart. She always had time to help me with my homework, talk to me, and be a good friend. She was one of those rare people, that if you just got to know her for a moment, you'd always be a better person. She will be missed by myself, my family, and anyone else who ever met her. My love to Maria and Tom, Dr. and Mrs. Bruno, as well as the rest of the family and her fiance.

Maria was a very special friend to my daughter Rebecca. I didn't spend a lot of time with Maria, but it didn't take a lot of time to realize what a special person she was. Her passing has left a HUGE hole in the lives of all she knew. I hope God realizes what a wonderful helper he has now that he has called her Home. She is certainly teaching us all a lesson - "live each day to the fullest; don't ever take tomorrow for granted."

Dearest Leah and Family: I was deeply sadened to hear of Maria's passing. I have all of you in my thoughts and prayers. May God rest her soul eternally.

No words can express our deepest feeling of sadness in the loss of your beloved daughter Maria. Since that day on the street when you told us about Maria's illness, Tom, she has always been in our thoughts and prayers.



It was so devasting for us to even think that such a young and energetic person had to endure such a ravaging disease.



We know how much family means to you, as it does to us. You are a strong, supportive and loving family that gave Maria the strength to endure this fight to the very end. Trust in God and trust in the love of your family to get through this most difficult of times.

Dearest Bruno Family,



Our family is deeply saddened by Maria's passing and our love, thoughts and prayers are with you throughout this difficult time. Our family is extremely fortunate to have known Maria and to have shared such great times and many memories together as kids up in Lake Geneva and Inverness. The countless games of “got you last,” going tubing in Lake Geneva and ordering 14 hamburgers and 14 cheeseburgers at the McDonald’s drive through just to name a few. We will always remember Maria for her big heart, her artistic touch and her contagious smile. Please know that we share your loss and are here to support you in anyway that we can.



Although she has left this world all too soon, may her soul be at rest and her spirit be free.

All of us who had the opportunity to watch Maria grow into the young lady she had become can take pride in the fact that we were able to see the goodness of a genuine human spirit. I met Maria very briefly as she came to my mother's wake 2 years ago with the Andersons. My sister Frances Riopell, and her husband are good friends with the Andersons, so I have been kept up to date on Maria through her. My heartfelt sympahies go to Maria's family as well as to Tim and his family. Life isn't always easy to understand, but we have to trust that God has a plan for our lives and know that Maria is no longer suffering.

"Those that loved her, lost so much at her psssing, yet gained so much from her living." I recieved this verse in a sympathy card and it has helped me through my "weepy" times. Hope it will help you as well.

Having only seen Maria a few times since high school, I was shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. I will always remember Maria's warmth and fun loving spirit. My prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Although we never had the pleasure of meeting Maria, we had heard such great things about her. We know she was a courageous fighter in these last few months and that she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

I was so saddened to hear of your Daughter's passing. I worked with you, Dr.Bruno, in the OR and DSC. Mrs. Bruno, we met at several of the Christmas functions. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Maria was a true friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. I was proud of her bravery and courage no matter what life had to serve her.

Although we are saddened to have never had the opportunity to meet Maria, we feel as though we knew her through Tim, Ron, and Pam. She was truly a part of our family and we will miss her.
