Margaret Leib Obituary

Margaret (Dwyer) Leib, 59, of Newport, RI, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 9, 2015 at home. She was the wife of the late David E. Leib.
Born on November 10, 1955 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Joan (Harrington) Dwyer.
Maggie attended Hazard Memorial School in Newport and was a 1973 graduate of Rogers High School.
She worked as a CNA at various local nursing homes for many years, as well as Edgehill Newport. Maggie later worked at the Preservation Society of Newport County as a tour guide.
She was a loyal wife, a devoted mother, and a loving grandmother to Johannah. Maggie was a longtime friend of Bill W. and gave many hours helping others.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Leib and her partner Brett Sorensen of Tiverton and her granddaughter Johannah Sorensen also of Tiverton; her brother Charles P. Dwyer and his wife Eleanor of Portsmouth, her sisters Mary Kelley and her husband Richard Abarno of Charlestown and Joan E. Kelly and her husband Rick of Newport, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
