Landrum, Margaret Ann It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Margaret Ann Landrum on October 28, 2010. Margaret was born in Chicago on October 2, 1927 to Charles and Ruth Sears. Though she was raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Margaret returned to Chicago in 1944. Shortly after, she met James A. Landrum who had just returned from World War II; they got married on October 17, 1946. The marriage was blessed with one son, Michael James Landrum (Sheri) of California. Margaret was a medical secretary of the Veteran's hospital of Chicago for 31 years. Margaret was gifted with the art of decorating, beautiful floral arrangements, sewing and interior design. She belonged to several charitable and social organizations including the Olympia Fields women's club, the Illinois Philharmonic, and the Patterns, a sewing club. Margaret is survived by her husband, James Landrum, her son and daughter-in-law, her sister, Jean Nelson, several nephews, nieces, several friends and well wishers. Memorial Mass will be said for Margaret at Infant Jesus of Prague Parish, 1131 Douglas Avenue, Flossmoor, IL 60422 on Friday November 5, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
