MOM

by Tim Breitzmann

What is 80 years
Rotations of a planet
So many sunrises
Ticks of a clock

They say that time
Waits for no one
I think this wrong
It's the recorder of circumstances

Time is the wake of a ship
Foot prints in the snow
A song is not a song
Unless it is sung

Time is your marker
Folded pages of a book
Yarn on a finger
Things to recall

I remember many things
Tears you shed for a grasshopper
Hugs & kisses, homemade pizzas
A piece of pie you brought to my bed

Laughter & tears, sorrows & joys
Liverpool rummy, Thanksgiving dinners
Birthday cakes, toast cut into houses
Burnt rolls, cheese on a pie

I remember a January day
When you held my hand
And simply said …
I love you

It's not the Ticks of a clock
Nor the movement of shadows
It's not these things I recall

I remember many things
I remember love
I remember you

I wrote this for my mom’s 80th birthday

...................
THE ARCHIVES OF MY SOUL

As I walk among the autumn colors
My mind does drift
Till all around me melts away
I'm on the other side of time

I've been to this place
Many times in my life
It's as far as far can be
Yet as close as your next breath

It's where my memories go
Of things I've lost, of times gone bye
Where people who have touched my life
Now do reside

You know this place I talk about
On the other side of time
You've been there too
Everyone has

I've wondered of this place for so long
What it was, what it meant
I think I understand now
What this place may be

It's the archives of my soul
My very soul…

Tim Breitzmann

...................
Time is…
To slow for those who wait
To swift for those who fear

To long for those who grieve
To short for those who rejoice

But for those who love
Time is eternal

Tim Breitzmann
................

I love you forever Mom

I'll see you in the sunset

Not only with a tear
Because you are gone

But also with a smile
Because you were here

Until that day Mom, Until that day

I am Marge's Nephew's (Dennis) daughter, Caitlin. I didn't have a chance to get to know Aunt Marge well. But it has always been obvious how much Aunt Marge was loved by her family. After reading what was written about Aunt Marge's life I realize it is truly a life to be celebrated. My thoughts and prayers with her entire family.

The words that were written about Marge paint a beautiful picture of a loving woman.
I only wish that I would have been able to spend more time getting to know her better.
My thoughts & prayers are with all of those who loved Marge.

I only met Marge a few times when the kids were younger. I am Alyce's cousin and she and I would visit once in a while. She definately was a special lady and always made me feel like I was part of her family too. I'm sorry ,Bill and Alyce for your loss and know that both of you will miss her very much.

Dear Tim and Breitzman Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a great lady and I will always remember how she greeted you a warm smile and how she never just welcomed you into her home but into her heart as well. Losing a loved one is never easy, but God will give you the strength that you need. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
