Ackermann, Margaret P.

Margaret P. Ackermann was born on February 14, 1933 and died on October 4, 2021. She was a loving daughter to her parents, Otto and Lorraine Ackermann (dec.) and a dear sister to Joan (Ackermann) Pacer, her brother-in-law, Dr. Fred Pacer and her deceased sister Lori Ackermann. She will be missed ber her nieces and nephews: Lori Pacer, Edward (Jodi Nowicki), Cathi (Kevin) Knickrehm and Michael (Lori Healy) Pacer, and by her many great-nieces and nephews and ever her great-grand nieces. Margaret was a woman of great faith. She was a regular member of the Early Birds at St. Priscilla's 6:30a.m. mass, and had a lifetime devotion to praying the rosary. Margaret taught art for years and ultimately retired as an Assistant Principal at the Roberto Clemente Community Academy. Although Margaret was an educator she never stopped learning. She was an avid reader, kept a close eye on local Democratic politics and loved to travel internationally and around the country. She had a special fondness for the southwestern states and their culture. Margaret was a cancer survior and suffered with Parkinson's. In spite of this, Margaret was independent to the end, enjoying her last years in an apartment at the Oak Park Arms, with her dedicated caretakers and family. Marge was a good friend to many and will be missed. Memorial Mass at St. Bernardine Catholic Church, 7246 Harrison in Forest Park, IL, Saturday November 27th at 11:30 am. Visitation at 11:00 am.
