Dearest Brian and Family,

There are not the right words that can possibly express my feelings at this time about Marcia and how deeply I am saddened for everyone who was apart of her life. Marcia was truely a mentor for so many of us. Her gentle soul, caring hand and great personality is something that I will mentor my whole life. I only hope that I can be 1/2 the person she was. When Scott was sick, Marcia always was calling, asking me for years how Scott was doing. So geniune were her concerns for others. Even when she became ill, Marcia was always worried about everyone else around her. She was a real trouper, going out for golf, having lunch with us all and always keeping that cute smile on her face. I never had the chance to meet your wonderful family Brian, but you are blessed to have been able to live with such a wonderful woman. May all the wonderful memories and support from your family and friends help you through these difficult days ahead. May you find strength in knowing that so many of us cared about Marcia and will treasure her in our hearts.

Sincerely,

Lisa & Scott Greenblat

Marcia was a standout at Sullivan High School in Chicago. Then she worked hard on our reunions, and remained always a smiling face.

As someone at the 'shiva' said, she made everyone feel like he or she was her best friend. Our sincere condolences on your loss to Brian and your extended, wonderful, family.

My condelences to the Slotky Family.

I have known Marcia for years, through 2 mutual friends of ours, Sandi Malin and Roz Rubin, but I didn't know her very well.

In January, 2004, I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer, and was told by these friends to call Marcia and talk with her, as she already knew of my illness. Talking with her was the best thing for me, as she was always so "UP", and kept me that way, too! We kept in touch about our conditions, even when she was in Florida, and I will miss her and her cheerfunless very much.

Dear Brian and "girls",

Although it's been only a week and a half that Marcia's gone, not a minute goes by when thoughts of her are not in my head. I keep seeing that adorable face and beautiful smile and it still doesn't seem possible. I can't ever remember a person's death affecting so many people in so many ways. Knowing what an impact she had on all of our lives I hope will bring you at least a little comfort at this most difficult time.

Our thoughts are with all of you.

Dear Brian - How shocked and saddened I was when I received your email letting me know of Marcia's passing. I remember the kindness she showed to me when I joined the staff at Hillcrest CC. She never had a callous word, was always encouraging, always had a smile on her face and a tremendous sense of humor. She adored you and was happy to tell me repeatedly how blessed she was to have spent her life with you. Since leaving the staff of Hillcrest a little over a year ago, Marcia and I kept in touch by phone or by email at least once a month. Even when letting me know that her cancer had returned, she was more concerned with how I reacted to the news. She was always concerned with what my future plans were and if there was anything that she could do to help me out. Thank you, Brian, for sharing her with me. I will miss her tremendously. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dearest Dale, my heart goes out to you. Although I didn't know your sister, I have known about her illness thru you, and your last report was not good. I was so afraid, when I did not hear from you recently, that this sad news may be the reason. My prayers are with the whole family. We will talk when you feel the time is right.

your friend, Sandra

When I joined Hillcrest 10 years ago Marsha was by far the nicest and most welcoming lady there. In a world of sororiety type clickiness she outshined all of them and made me feel so comfortable. I played with her so much and even as late as September 20th in the Sadie Hawkins tourn. and while limping and ailing she was still the most delightful and sweet golfer/lady you could find. I am heartsick for all of you, she will be so badly missed. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 31 and I feel for you all. My prayers and thoughts are for Marcia's family. Love, Janet Weiner

Dear Brian, Lisa, Kim, Bebe and the whole Slotky family,

We were totally distraught upon hearing of Marcia's passing. She was a dear friend of many years and we always described her as the beautiful little lady who never had a mean bone in her body. For the many years that her locker sat next to mine, we have shared tears, laughter and grandchildren's pictures. There will be a great sadness in my heart when I look over and her bubbly little self is not there. She has been taken from all of us forty years too soon and will be missed by everyone who came in contact with her. Brian, Lisa, Kim and Bebe there is nothing we can say that will make you feel better at this awful time, but we pray that your joyous memories of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother will see you through these dark days. Girls, if you ever need a shoulder to cry on or want to talk, I can help because I was in your shoes 33 years ago. We hope to see you in person when we come back this weekend. Our love and condolences. Harriet and Fred
