Magdalena Amos Obituary

Amos, Magdalena "Maggie" Age 77, a resident of Downers Grove, IL, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on September 24, 2014 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Hungary on August 11, 1937. Maggie is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Catherine) Amos, Deborah Amos-Buzzard, Donna (René Esquivel) Weathersby and Julie (Daren) Cerino; her cherished grandchildren, Kirsten (Jarvis Childs) Weathersby, Megan Cerino, Christina, Zachary and Michelle Amos; her adored great-granddaughter, Zylah Mia Childs; her dear siblings, Theresa (the late Joseph) Trudeau, Veronica (Halden) Deppert, John, Frank and Loretta Rapport; her nieces and nephews, Michael, James, Sandra, Daniel, Curt and Craig. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Amos; and her parents, Johann (the late Frances) and Terezia Rapport. Magdalena was an amazing matriarch and mother. She was a caregiver at heart, as well as by profession. She was loved by all she met and always thought of others first. She will always be remembered. "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:29. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to her life, memorials may be directed to the family to be used according to Maggie's wishes.
