Mae Walsh Obituary

Walsh, Mae C. (nee Murphy), age 90, of Beverly, passed away December 27, 2003, beloved wife of the late Dr. John J. Walsh, M.D., Lt. Col., U.S. Army WWII, renowned surgeon and ophthalmologist, mother of sons John J. III and James T. (Jayne) and daughter Marianne C. Walsh of Milwaukee, WI, loving grandmother of John J. IV (Christiana) and Regina, great-grandmother of two, daughter of the late Luke and Mary Murphy, sister of the late Delores (Walter F.) Shanahan and the late John J. (Kathleen) Murphy, aunt of many nieces and nephews, also survived by best friend Ms. Rita McLean. Mae was a Chicago Public High School Teacher for nearly 40 years, receiving her Baccalaureate Degree from Mundelein College, a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago, Magna Cum Laude. Visitation Monday and Tuesday, December 29th and 30th from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, December 31st, 9:00 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, to St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Drive, Chicago. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth, IL.
