Barr, Madeline Visitation and Funeral Service for Madeline (nee Bovenzi) Barr, 88, will be held Saturday, January 20th with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 4101 St. Lawrence Avenue, Matteson, IL 60443. Born February 17, 1929 to the late Joseph and Carmela Bovenzi in LaGrange, IL Madeline "Mid" Barr died in her sleep Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home in Richton Park, IL. Wife of the late Joseph Sr. and beloved mother of Joseph (Karen) Barr, Martin (Sandra) Barr, Daniel (Lori) Barr, Thomas (Pamela) Barr and Mary (David) Shoettle. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Zachary, Jeremy (Sally), Nicholas (Irene), Andrew, Matthew (Sandra), Jessica, Thomas Jr. (Stacy) , Khristina (Bob), Adam, and Jon and Robin Schoettle. Dear great-grandmother of Thomas III, Alex, Jasmin, Julian, Jaylin, Jacob, Johnathan, Allison, Evelyn and Neveah. Madeline was a beloved member of the Bovenzi Family, very close to her sisters Virginia, Josie and Gerry, sister-in-law Ronnae and dear late brothers, Bob and Joseph and late brothers-in-law Roger Tagtmeier Sr. and Chuck Pelly, and nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Madeline was blessed with a great sense of humor and a love for life, she had many, many friends and a big and warm heart.
