M. Kuizinas Obituary
Sister M. Elaine Kuizinas, SSC, 97, beloved member of the Sisters of St. Casimir for 76 years, died November 10, 2023. Sister Elaine, taught in elementary schools in Illinois, Maryland, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania, from 1947-1961. From 1962-1981 Sister Elaine taught mathematics at Maria High School in Chicago and was Principal of Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, PA from 1982-2001. Prior to moving to Franciscan Village in 2015, Sister Elaine was elected to serve on the SSC leadership team as the General Secretary from 2003-2008 and worked part time at Holy Cross Hospital in medical records from 2002-2014. Sister Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna (Kaleskas) Kuizinas, and her siblings Anne Ternosky, Frances Alonis, Joseph Kuizinas, Charles Kuizinas, and Pauline Huhn. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and the Sisters of St. Casimir.
Visitation: Saturday, November 18, 2023, 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection: 11:30 at Franciscan Village Chapel, 1270 Village Drive, Lemont, IL. Interment, St. Casimir Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
