I still think about Mrs. Gaines. After all these years, she has made an impression on me.

I was a student of Mrs. Gaines at Forrestvile Upper Grade Center in Chicago, IL in the year of 1965-1966. She was my Homeroom teacher. I never forgot her because she was an excellent teacher. While I was going to her class i never wanted to miss school because of her impact for me to succeed. (She wanted all of us to succeed) I received an award for excellent attendance while she was my teacher. She always impressed me to get a college education. I now have two master degrees. She was a woman of class and style. Over the years I kept asking some friends from Evanston did they know or remember Mrs. Gaines from Evanston and they did not. I always remembered her. She has been in my thoughts for all this time. I miss her very much.
