English version of Memorial Mass Held for Luis Gabriel Castro
We are gathered here together today to sadly say goodbye to our brother and uncle, Luis Gabriel. And the truth is that death is this: a trip, a goodbye, a see you later; because of this we thank God, because in spite of the fact that you are no longer here, one day like today God gave us the beautiful gift of your life, and in life you accomplished great things and gave us the great satisfaction of seeing you achieve your dreams, which were to improve your family and professional life, which you achieved starting when you decided to leave this country to look for new horizons.
You left this world without saying goodbye, leaving a huge hole in our hearts, full of non-erasable memories. You always were a wonderful person ; achiever, responsible , full of optimism and happiness; the person who in spite of the distance, more than 40 years outside the country, never lost your family and friendship ties. You were always in constant communication with your family and friends.
As oldest brother that you were, we thank you for following the examples of love and work that our parents gave us; we thank you for opening the path to studies to become competent professionals.
Together with your children, Juan Carlos and Monica, and your grandchildren, we thank all those present, family, friends, university classmates; for your presence at this sad time we are all going through, and in these circumstances that require great strength to get through these sad times.

These are the words pronunced during the Mass in Bogotá, Colombia on 6th September 2014. These words show the deepest sadness of Gabriel's Family in Bogotá.

I'll Never Be Gone
You can cry, but not too much.
You may think you will never see me again,
but you will see me in the memories you hold.
Don't bury these memories,
for then you will never see me again.
Look around you; you will see me in others.
You can see my different qualities in many different people.
I'm not gone; I'm in you.
You may think you may never feel my presence,
but you will, for my spirit will never leave you.
My spirit is locked in your heart.
You may think you may never hear my voice again,
but if you listen you can hear me speaking in the wind.
I'll be saying “Life goes on without me.”
You can miss me, but I will always be there to help you
Maybe not as a human, but if you think of me
you will know what I would say,
the advice I would give and my thoughts.
So forget to be sad when life is good.
Remember me when life is not so good
and I will guide you to happiness.
From my fridge to yours--with deepest sympathy, Renee
