Lucille Langfeldt, 87, Longtime Boulder resident Lucille Langfeldt died February 15, 2013, after a brief illness.
Lucille was born February 1, 1926 in La Junta, CO, to Freda and GH Clark. The family lived in La Junta for many years.
Lucille was a Registered Nurse, having studied at Children's Hospital in Denver. She was a member of the Order of Easter Star, Queen Esther #5, where she served as Worthy Matron, and was a Grand Officer. She was active in the First United Methodist Church of Boulder and she could be found raising funds through the yearly church rummage sale and other church activities.
Lucille married Billy Langfeldt in 1948 and the couple had three children, Sheila, Alan and Sharon. Billy preceded her in death in 2011.
Always there to support friends, Lucille was the first on the scene with a meal, a helping hand or an open ear. She was a ready volunteer in her church and community.
Lucille is survived by her three children, and a grandson, Sgt. Michael McGuire (US Army), and a sister, Georgia Dubois, of Swink, CO. A memorial service will be held on March 2, 2013 at 11 a.m., at the Boulder Masonic Temple. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the El Jebel Shrine - Denver, Attention Hospital Fund - Alan.
