I was so surprised when someone new called me from Purple Hearts. She told me about Lucy's passing. I will miss her friendship, even though we never met in person. I could tell she was a very caring person and I know she will be missed by her friends and family.

I too am writing because of knowing Lou through Purple Hearts. She was always so kind on the phone and because of that you would want to find something, anything to put out on the porch for her. I heard the news last night when Purple Hearts called me for a donation and I asked where Lou was and was told the sad news. I'm so sorry for the loss, but just know that she left her mark on this earth to people like me. She was just a phone call, but I always looked forward to talking to her.

Lulu was very special to me and my family. We were neighbors for many years and our families shared many special times. I will always cherish those memories and keep them close to my heart. My family has lost a dear friend and I have lost my "second" Mom. We love you, Lulu

I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope this isnt the same Lou who would call me every few weeks for my Purple Heart pick-up. If so I will miss our nice little chats. May she rest in peace.

Dear Karen, Tony, Ray, Carmella & family:
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I have many fond memories of your mom.
Lulu was a special person and it must be so difficult to come to terms with the fact she died so suddenly. While there is nothing I can say that will ease your loss, I wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
