Louwana Fae

(Hannah) Funk

NEWARK: Louwana Fae (Hannah) Funk, flew away to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. She was born to Ernest and Mae Hannah on February 2, 1952. Lou married Herbert Ray Funk on September 26, 1971. They had one child Tammy Lou born on April 1, 1972.

Lou had many challenges in her life and made it through each with her faith in the Lord. She joined the Primitive Baptist Church as a young girl. She was very fond of children, especially babies and toddlers. She loved dogs, cats, and butterflies. Over the years she worked in manufacturing, food preparation, and hospitality services. She was a loving wife, nurturing mother, and loyal friend.

She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Hannah; brothers, William Hannah, Clyde Hannah; sister, Shirley (Hannah) Parker; father-in-law Paul Funk, mother-in-law May Funk, brother and sister-in-law Austin (Jodee) Funk, sister-in-law Rita Hannah.

She is survived by her husband Herbert Funk, daughter Tammy (Billy) Alexander, mother Mae Hannah; brothers, James Hannah, Eddie (Nancy) Hannah; sister Sharon (Benny) Wells, brother-in-law Richard Parker, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Licking Primitive Baptist Church on Maple Avenue in Hebron, OH on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 a.m., with Elders Jack Allen and Glen Funk officiating. The family would appreciate the signing of their remembrance book at the service.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be given to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or go online to www.kidney.org/donate.
