Klein M.D., Louis age 89, beloved husband of Thelma (nee Oliff), loving father of Dr. Neal (Barbara) of AZ and Dr. Joel (Suzanne), devoted grandfather of Daniel, David, Alison, Sari, Dina and Lisa. Service and interment will be private. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1939, he worked in radio programs as a character actor during the 1930's on such shows as Captain Midnight and Jack Armstrong. He practiced internal medicine from 1940 until his retirement in 1992. He was on the medical staffs of Mt. Sinai Hospital and Louis Weiss Memorial Hospital and was on the faculty of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to either a charitable organization of one's choice or the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Louis Klein Scholarship, 1747 W. Roosevelt, Rm. 302-WROB, Attn: Carl Manns, Chicago, IL 60608-1203 would be appreciated.
