Lottie Strzalka Obituary

Lottie (née Wladystawa Ciesla) was born on July 13, 1928. She was one of 8 siblings who grew up in the St. Salomea parish of Roseland on the South Side of Chicago. In 1954, she married Antoni Strzalka who was born in Wolbrom, Poland. He had recently moved to Chicago as a Displaced Person after 3 years of internment in World War II German forced labor camps. While Lottie faced many adversities in life, she was well known for her friendly and kind disposition. She died at age 94 on April 13, 2023, just 2 weeks after contracting COVID-19. Lottie is survived by 2 daughters, Bernadette and Diana; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
