Lorraine Elliott Obituary

Elliott, Lorraine was born October 19, 1914, 49 years of Park Forest, formerly of Chicago, daughter of Rhea Kaplan (nee Rosenthal) and wife of Milton B. Elliott, died in the Vitas Hospice Unit of St. James Hospital on February 15th. Lorraine and Milt's marriage of 61 years was based on love, humor and understanding and was focused on family and long term friendships. Lorraine worked for over 15 years as a paralegal in Chicago to help finance her children's education. In her late years, she continued to cultivate her love of books and enjoy the friendships she and Milt had found in their neighborhood and at Urban Hills Country Club. Lorraine was predeceased buy her husband Milt and is survived by her daughter, Maryann (Thomas) Bast of Madison, Wi.; her son, Brage E. (Marge) Elliott of Toledo, OH.; daughter through marriage, Susan L. Elliott of Park Forest; five grandchildren, Melinda Gardner, Jessica Jordan, Brage Elliott, Jr., Robyn Elliott and Steven Elliott and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service, 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 19th, at Lain- Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Westwood Drive, Park Forest. Interment will be private. Info., 708- 747-3700.
