Dear Bill:

As I read the Tribune this past week, I saw with regret the notice of Lori's death. You may not remember me at all but, back in 1964, you and I lived on John Street in a private residence as freshman at Northern Illinois University. I have been 'cursed' with a memory that never forgets even the most trivial of matters and, for some reason, I remembered your name and the fact that your girlfriend back then was named Lori.

Although over 40 years has passed since that period of our lives, I still recall you and the other guys who lived there(I think the couple who owned the house were Elsie and Herman Hintschy).

Please accept my deepest condolences on your wife's passing. Although we long ago lost contact with each other, I didn't want the time to pass without letting you know that I saw the notice and was thinking of you.
