Loretta, Aunt Lola to me, was a huge presence in my life although I have not seen her in many years. She was my godmother and in many ways fulfilled her obligation as such by always guiding me with her love. We mostly communicated in letters, a thing of the past now unfortunately, because letters are tangible and personal and every time I would get a card with her beautiful, unmistakable handwriting, my heart would sing. Through difficult times her words of encouragement brought me peace and guidance with one particular quote I have gone back to many times when she wrote, "Love is all". She will be forever in my heart, may she rest in peace.
