Siegel, Lois Berger

Lois Berger Siegel was a force of nature. Or as she would say, a "perfect" force of nature. Born June 30, 1929, her mother Helen successfully raised two lovely daughters. Lois and her elder sister Dolores began life on a farm and became successful through hard work and perseverance. Lois' career path ran the gamut from nightclub songstress to highly successful business woman at the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile exchange. Lois loved music and especially appreciated talented singers. Given her years singing professionally she certainly knew the difficulty journey young singers must travel to become successful. To that end Lois became a devoted Lyric Opera patron, grand champion of the Ryan Opera Center, and Aria Benefactor. Lois peacefully departed on September 27, 2022 but her impact on the lives of those she touched will be cherished forever. Lois is survived by her sister Dolores Berger Ferraro, her many nieces, nephews, and grand nephews as well as many cousins. A private interment is planned for October 5th, 2022.
