Linda Holloway Obituary

POQUOSON - Linda Lee Holloway, 65, died July 28, 2005, at Sentara CarePlex in Hampton. She was the daughter of James T. Holloway Sr. (deceased) and Jocelyn Evans Holloway of Poquoson. Linda was a native of Poquoson. She graduated from Poquoson High School and Virginia Commonwealth University. She taught in Poquoson for many years. She moved to Kiptopeake on the Eastern Shore to work at the Cape Charles Air Base. She retired from the office of Dr. Mark Clarke in Cape Charles in 2002. Linda is survived by her mother, Jocelyn E. Holloway; her brother, James T. Holloway Jr. and her beloved sister-in-law, Barbara; two nieces, Angela Harrington and husband, Wade, and Denise Chapman and husband, Buddy Lee; a great-niece, Heather Harrington; four great-nephews, Thomas Guglielmo, Wade Harrington III, Jesse Chapman and Mitchell Harrington; aunts and uncle, Ruth Evans, Rose Pauls and Fay Holloway; and two best friends, Paula Freeman and Dottie Boulter. She was preceded in death by her father, James T. Holloway Sr.; grandparents, Birdie and Cecil Evans, Martha and Henry Holloway; and her special uncle, Dr. Cecil F. Evans Jr. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home and at other times friends are welcome at the home of her mother, 75 Bunting Lane, Poquoson. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. James D. Thomas and Evangelist Minister Buddy Chapman. Burial will follow in Weston Cemetery, Poquoson. Memorial contributions may be made to Cat Corner, 85 Fulton St., Hampton, VA 23663.

It's Saturday and Linda and I always talked to catch up on the week. She aLways had another wonderful story to tell me about her family or the cats or the chickens. I will miss our talks.
