Lillian Motew Obituary

Motew, Lillian (nee Gross) Passed away at the age of 104, surrounded by her family and longtime caregiver. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Max Motew; cherished mother of sons, Stuart Motew (partner, Cheryl Ehrenkranz), Allen (Marna) Motew and the late Dr. Martin (Jeanne) Motew; devoted grandmother of Dr. Stephen (Sara) Motew, Kenny (Jill) Motew, Michael (Annie) Motew, Jeffrey (Pov) Motew, Matthew (Loren) Motew, Melissa Motew; and great-grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, Louie, Max, Emily, Zev, Asher, Simon, Benjamin, Sam, Maeve and Molly. Lillian loved her many cousins and friends. Lillian adored her sweet "granddoggie," Loulou. Heartfelt thanks to loving caregivers, Regina Koska and Mellie. Lillian was a Chicago school teacher and did volunteer Braille work for the visually handicapped. Graveside services Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand Rd. and Route 53 in Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lillian's name to NA'AMAT, Philip H. Cohen Institute for the Visually Handicapped (Rodfei Zedek), or the Anti-Cruelty Society-Chicago would be appreciated. May her many good deeds and thoughtful acts be an everlasting memory for all her family and all who knew her. She was a friend to my parents - Ben and Sally Jordan and Marty was a friend. We were in the same cabin at Camp Martin Johnson and would see each other at South Shore High School. Best wishes from my wife and I - Maureen and Michael Jordan
