Lillian Blumka Obituary

Blumka, Lillian E. 86 years, of Niles, MI, formerly of South Chicago, passed away March 18, 2003, after an illness. She was born December 12, 1916, in South Chicago, daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Makowski) Lesny. Formerly employed at Continental Assurance Co. Married May 7, 1934, to Bernard M. Blumka, who passed March 15, 1970. Loving survivors are children, Barbara Blumka of Niles, MI and Robert (wife, Barbara Mae) Blumka of Buchanan, MI; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, at 12 noon, (Michigan time) in Our Lady Of The Lake Church, Edwardsburg, MI. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church Social Hall. Rosary Prayers will be Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m. Arrangements by: Paul E. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cass County Cancer Services, Our Lady Of The Lake Church, Niles Senior Citizens Center, Edwardsburg or Buchanan Public Library for books in Lillian's memory.
