Eiger, Leona W. (nee Wolan), 96, beloved wife of the late Judge Norman Eiger, devoted mother of Rodney (Janet Farr) Eiger and the late Lawrence Eiger, cherished mother-in-law of Sandra (Michael I. Miller) Eiger Miller, proud grandmother of Noah (Galienne Eriksen) Eiger, Aaron (Carmel) Eiger and Lillian Eiger, dear great-grandmother of Isabella and Hannah Eiger. Services Monday, 12:30 p.m., at Beth Emet The Free Synagogue, 1224 W. Dempster, Evanston, IL 60202. Interment Memorial Park. Memorials in her memory to the Lawrence H. Even though it's been almost fifty years ago, I have very good memories of an endlessly gracious and kindly Mrs. Eiger (and Alma) making sure a pair of constantly chattering eleven year old boys kept their hands washed, their voices down, and the radio playing less rock and roll. "David, it's time to go home now. Rodney has a piano lession."
