Morgan, Leo 99, beloved husband of Fay and the late Bessie. Loving father of Dr. Joseph (Marsha) Morgan and Dr. Jack (Susan) Morgan. Grandfather of Robin (Bill) Levy, Steven (Tammy) Morgan, Jonathan (Christine) Morgan, Andrew Morgan, Betsy Morgan and Anna-Laura Morgan and step-grandfather of David (Melissa) Levine and Nicole (Steve) Fagan. Great-grandfather of 12. Holocaust Survivor and decorated hero of the French Foreign Legion. Member of the Janusz Korczak Lodge and the New Citizens Club. Services Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road (One block north of Lake Cook Road) Buffalo Grove. Interment Shalom. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Holocaust Educational Foundation, 4905 Old Orchard Ctr., # 520, Skokie, IL 60077 would be appreciated. When Mitchell was born, I was overwhelmed at the fact that Leo had survived all odds to be a great grandfather -- I will never forget the spirit that "Pa" had -- and how Joe would grin from ear to ear talking about him -- he was truly loved by all of you. Dear Fay, Joseph, and Jack, my deepest condolences to you on the loss of Leo. I met him in February of this year as a tablemate of my mother's at Alden Estates. I always enjoyed talking to him about WW 2 and the Foreign Legion. I'm sorry I never had the chance to play him in chess. He was a wonderful man and always had a smile for me.
