I remember growing up with Kantor Jewelers as a second home. My parents owned the card shop three doors down from there. My parents were very good friends with the Kantors, and they watched me grow up. Even after my parents had passed away, I still purchased my jewelry from Leo. He was a very special man with a smile as bright as the sun. He will be deeply missed. He's probably helping my mother with her jewelry as we speak. My condolences go out to the entire Kantor famly.

I will always remember Kantor Jeweler's on Devon. My father used to say my mother went there more than the grocery store. She would stop there on her way home from work, find something and ask him to hold it till payday. Mr.Kantor would tell her to take it and pay him later. If she was out of town and saw something she liked, she go to him and he would find it for her. After she had a stroke we took her in and he brought a chair to the door and pushed her to her favorite spot by the showcase.
All our jewelry was bought there. For my 17th birthday, I got a green jade budda necklace and a classmate got very upset when she saw me wearing it because she had sent her boyfriend in to buy it for her birthday and it was gone.
He was always so friendly and knew his clients. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing

Madeline and I want to convey our deepest sympathy to the entire family. Uncle Leo was a very important part of my life growing up. He was a very kind man who would do anything for anyone. Everytime I look at the Bar Mitzvah ring that I have had for 45 years, I will think about him.
