Hello all, I am so sorry to hear of Lela's passing yet I know she is at peace with the Lord. I have thought of her many times over the last years since I left the family. My prayers are with you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our families worked together in 5th City in the late 60's/early 70's on many programs. Lela was such an amazing spirit woman and implemented many programs that had a positive impact on the quality of life in 5th City. She will be truly missed.

Hello Lela's family. My first husband Harrison Simms and I worked with Lela in the late 60's. She was a strong woman, committed to her community. I have thought of her over the years, and this weekend I am thinking of you, wishing you a sense of gratitude and peace.
