Benson Sr., Laurence F. Age 73, of Hoffman Estates. Beloved husband of the late Linda J. Benson (nee Winther); loving father of Robert (Amanda) Benson, Laurence, Jr. (Michele) Benson and Amanda Benson; loving grandfather of Austin, Connor, Brianna, Ethan, Ashleigh, Ava, and Kayleigh; dear brother of Jack (Gloria) Benson, Jean (Tom) Gillen, Maureen (Joe) Zitkus, Kathy Lum, Ann (the late Scott) Bussard, and the late Terry (Kathy) Benson and Tom (the late Sarah) Benson; dear uncle to many. Mr. Benson was a Hoffman Estates Police Officer for over 25 years. He also was a Navy veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Visitation Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Funeral prayers 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home to St. Marcelline Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
