What a shock to my system to see Lori's name in the obituary column.Lori was the first person that I met at SIU.She and I were the first two to settle into the Mae Smith Dormitory, at SIU-C, during the fall of 1973. I have never forgotten Lori. We walked around campus that day, getting to know the campus and each other. We had some good times together.
Lori was earnest, honest, dedicated, and loyal...truly one of the nicest individuals that I have ever met. Her character was sterling. She was precious, and will live on forever in my memories.
Words are never adequate during times like these.I extend to the family and friends of Lori, my heartfelt sympathies.
Sincerely,
Annie M. Smith
