Lana Thorstensen Obituary

Thorstensen, Lana Auriemmo (nee Auriemmo), 57, beloved wife of Curtis W. and loving mother of Elizabeth Lauren. A cherished daughter of Nancy (nee DiVito) and the late John P. Auriemmo, fond sister of Leslie Auriemmo (Jonathan Jonas) and the late Susan Auriemmo, dear aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. Lana brought light and warmth to everyone and everything she touched. She was an extremely talented interior designer who took great pride in her craft and ran her own business for over 25 years. Lana was an extraordinary woman whose presence will be forever missed but never forgotten. Funeral will be held on Saturday, where family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 W. Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL 60035 for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment private. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m., at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Road, Westchester, IL. 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.

Dear Kirk & Elizabeth,

I was totally in shock to hear about Lana. I remember the many times we would visit when she would

be next door at her mother's. I remember Elizabeth playing with Courtney. I have many memories of

all of you. My heart goes out to both of you and Leslie.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Lana. Lana and I started the same day at Inspirations. During our many conversations, she would share stories that were full of love and pride of her family--especially of her daughter. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Dear Curt, Elizabeth and Leslie, I am so sorry for your loss. Even though Lana and I were first cousins growing up 2,000 miles apart, I still remember vacations together, especially the summer she graduated from high school. She was always happy and fun loving with a great sense of humor. God bless you.
