Kenneth Siegner Obituary

SIEGNER, KENNETH W. A service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 17, at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland for Ken Siegner, who died peacefully February 12 at 84. Ken was born November 10, 1921 in Portland, OR. He graduated from the UO in 1939 and served in the Army in the S. Pacific in WWII. He was a fuels tax auditor for the State of Oregon and recently worked for FEMA helping with cleanup after the hurricanes. He was married to Gertrude Sampson who passed away in July 1980. Ken received his 50 year Master Mason pin in 2005, and was a long-time member of the Shriners. He spent his last few years playing bridge with friends at the Portland Rose and Salvation Army Senior Centers, and participating in all the activities at his residence at Gilman Park Assisted Living. Survivors include his daughter Karen Conner; son-in-law Art Conner; 1st Lt. Nikola Philpott, USMC, Granddaughter; Tara Conner, Granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Remembrances to the VA where he spent his last 3 months: Portland VA Medical Center, Community Develop-ment, P.O. Box 1034, Portland, OR 97207.
