Keith Pasch Obituary

Pasch, Keith L. "Mr. Woody" 47, a resident of Oswego, IL for 19 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Aurora. He was born August 31, 1963 in Naperville, IL. Keith is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Pamela (nee Ehrhart), whom he met through the DuPage Drifters of Naperville; his devoted sons, Iain Carey Ross Pasch and Collin Joseph Pasch; his parents, Lester and Diana (nee Driscoll) Pasch; his brother, Brian (fiancé Kristen Krope) Pasch and sister, Kimberly J. Pasch; his father-in-law, Paul Ehrhart; his sister-in-law, Debbi (Ken) Ehrhart-Mester; his niece and nephew, Kerrie (Stephen) Manak and Kyle Mester; his uncle, Richard Driscoll; as well as host of wonderful friends and fellow Scouts. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dora Lee Ehrhart and his grandparents. Scouting was Keith's life. He became a Boy Scout when he was 9 years old and stayed actively involved in the Scouts for the rest of his life. He was a member of the Three Fires Council, was the Committee Chair for Boy Scout Troop #31, Oswego and the Assistant Eagle Scout Coordinator for Maramech Hills District. Keith and his family were also members of the Venturing Crew #0013, Maramech Hills. One of his proudest moments was seeing both of his sons become Eagle Scouts in 2009. He had a great love and respect for the outdoors and enjoyed camping. He had a great voice and sang solo in his high school variety show. He loved to dance and was always a ready partner. For the last several years, Keith has been a Special Needs Bus Monitor for Oswego District 308 Transportation, and the students and their families will definitely miss his smiling face and his great decorations. Above all else, he lived everyday for his family and took great pride in being the best father and husband that he could be. For those who prefer, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or to the Boy Scouts Three Fires Council. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2:00 until 9:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville. Mrs. Pasch, Iain and Collin,
I just read about your husbad/ father's passing after the tree dedication at the high school. I am so sorry for your loss. After having both of you in my fifth grade classroom many years ago, I can remember how involved your dad was with your academics and boy scouts. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Pam, Collin, Iain - Our sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May God's Peace find your hearts and help you through this. He was taken away from you much too soon, but know that he is watching over all of you everyday and will always be in all of our hearts. Even though you still feel the pain in your hearts, know that he no longer lives in pain. Heaven has just gained an angel that is sure to liven things up. I am sure that all of the angels have been taught "Boom-Chicka-Boom" and are singing it daily cause Woody wouldn't have it any other way. His fun-filled spirit will live on because he had such a way of making people laugh that he made friends wherever he went. His heart was always in scouting but his love was always for you, Pam, and the two remarkable boys that you both raised into fine men. God's Blessings to all of you.

I will only say so long for now, Keith, because someday we will meet again . . . so save me a campsite next to you! Bye Woody - can't wait for summer camp in Heaven.

As a classmate of Keith's from his school days in Lisle, I remember Keith for his kindness and his musical talent. I am certain that the members of Lisle Sr. High's class of 1981 will always remember him fondly.

You will be dearly missed! Your smile was contagious and I thank you for all the fun we always had. I love your family like my own and that will not change. We will make sure they are OK. I know my sister is a little broken now because of your absence. No one can replace you but know your spirit lives on through all of our memories. Keep singing and dancing!! We miss you already!

Pam, Collin and Iain,

Your Husband and Father was one of the best people I've ever worked with. He loved the kids of district #308. It is said that we don't remember the days we
remember the moments of life. Here are my fondest memories of Keith. I have never been involved in scouting but when I would ask him questions about his upcoming scout excursions Keith's face would light up and he would go on about Collin,Iain and the many other boys that he helped make into men by giving them the gift of his time, effort and energy. Keith was so proud of not just his sons but all the scouts. When he retold his scout stories I could see the passion in his eyes.
It made me wish I had become a boy scout. He would tell me how he and Pam had met in Las Vegas and of how your courtship had turned into marriage.
He truly loved you Pam and made it a point to tell me how lucky he was to have your love in his life. Keith Pasch was a kind, decent and honest man.He loved his family, his kids at
#308 and the Boy Scouts of america.
He made all of our worlds a better place to be.When we would drop off the kids we would turn up the radio and sing way too loud amd have too much fun. As he would leave each day I would say to him "Thank you Keith, You've done some good work here today" he would smile and say "thank you". I will promise you this,
I'll do my best to live a good life
to be kind, caring, honest and help whenever I can so that maybe someday I can say hello to Keith again, in heaven.

I am still in shock and so saddened by the news. Keith, was our city cousin from Illinois, who would make trips up to Wisconsin to come to see the country cousins on the farm from Wisconsin, with his parents and than with his own family. He was full of spirit and laughter. He was always so positive and such a joy to be around. I remember going to his wedding and he danced the night away with us all! We will truly miss him! Lester, Diane, Brian, Kim, Pam, Iain and Collin you are truly in our thoughts and prayers today and always. We love you guys! Paul & Marge & Kyle Klinzing & Jenna & Josh Trame from Monroe Wisconsin
