Kathy Giamarusti Obituary

Giamarusti, Kathy (nee Kamely) Age 65, of Orland Park, passed away suddenly, Friday, August 12, 2016 at her home. Born in Chicago, she lived in Homer Glen for many years before moving to Orland Park. Kathy had a passion for collecting dolls, enjoyed antiques, loved her dog, but her greatest joy in life was her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Giamarusti, Sr.; a son, Robert "Bobby" Giamarusti, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Emma (Casanova) Kamely and a sister, Bev Eckert. Survived by her son, Brian (Tiffany) Sherman; her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Heather, Chris, Brandyn and Cassandra; three great-grandchildren; her sister, DeeDee (Michael) Kosteczko; brothers, Joseph (Mary), Frank (Rosemary) and Greg Kamely. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy's memory to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated. Per Kathy's wishes, cremation rites will be respectfully addressed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016, 9:30 a.m. from the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1105 E. 9th St. (159th St.), Lockport to St. Joseph Church, Lockport for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Visitation Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends can sign the online guestbook or to attain directions at: www.oneilfuneralhome.com.
