I have fond memories of many weekend afternoons spent at Auntie Kay and Uncle Hank's house—it was the only place I ever saw sports on TV as a young child. Later visiting Auntie Kay and Aunt Louise became a thing to look forward to. For many years after that, Auntie Kay was the only person who sent me a birthday card every year. Of course, "Auntie Kay" was not really my aunt. "Uncle Hank" was my mom's first cousin. We grew up calling she and Uncle Hank aunt and uncle as a courtesy. Nonetheless, she treated my brothers and I like close nieces and nephews. The fact that she took the time to remember my brothers and I on every birthday and attend many of our childhood celebrations when she had so many children, grandchildren and I'm assuming real nieces and nephews, is a testament to her great capacity to love. I will miss you too Auntie Kay. We will keep your family in our prayers.
