Kay was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She was always interested in others and wanted to hear about their lives. She never was angry about her illness and what it had taken away from her she just tried to find happiness and hope in everyday. There are only good memories of Kay.

Kay was just a great person

Kay was my eighth grade Algebra teacher in the 1960-61 school year. As a transfer student from a parochial school, I was lucky to have such a kind, caring person as my homeroom teacher also. I went on to become a junior high math teacher and saw Kay at math meetings at Lake Park. She was a lovely person and I'm glad she was my teacher and colleague. My condolences go out to all her family. Kay was a great person and I know she will be missed by many.

To the Family of Kay Beniacs,

We know what a fighter and trooper Kay was in life. Her courage can be admired and respected by all.

Due to unexpected family commitments we are unable to attend and share in you grief.

Our hearts and love go to all of you during this difficult time.

A bright smile and a cheerful upbeat attitude personify Kay!

I remember fondly our encounters at the local Jewel. She would zip up in her "Kay-mobile" and we would chat about teaching and the family.

I so admired her ability to face her physical challenges with strength and grace.

My sister-in-law Kay was the kindest person I have every known. No matter how many problems she had, she would always manage to have a smile on her face. Kay was always interested in my family and wanted to know what was happening in our lives. She was a great listener. She always saw the good in people. So many times through troubles in my life just watching how she navigated through life inspired me to not complain, but be like Kay and just keep trying. She taught me to remember to appreciate being able to do the little things in life like going to the store, driving the car, or even just to take a stroll around the block. Her brother John and her had some great debates over the years as they did not always see eye to eye, especially where politics were concerned. I can't help but think what a great reunion they are having in heaven. For those of us who believe in Jesus that is the wonderful hope that we have even in the darkest times, that someday we will all be together in a place that God has prepared for us. Kay is in a place now where she can move and walk like she did so many years ago. She can even drive a car again, although I don't think they need them in heaven. Her body his whole again. I will miss you Kay. Thank you for all the kindness you showed me over the years. Thank you for talking to me about John, telling me stories and for helping me keep his memory alive. We will all do the same for you.
Love,
Joni

Kay was one of the greatest people I worked with at Itasca School District for many years. In spite of her disability, she always wore a smile. God rest her soul
