Theis, Karl H. born on January 18, 1924, in Gummersbach, Germany. He passed away on August 19, 2006, in Elmhurst, IL. He was the loving father of Susan (George) Kirschner of Hoffman Estates, IL and Laurie (Mike) Fischer of Fairfield, CA, cherished grandfather of Stefanie (fiance, Chris Lewis), Markus Kirschner and Nicole, Kristel and Mikey Fischer. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ella and his beloved Christel. Karl was a decorated World War II Army Veteran and lifetime member of the Schwaben Athletic Club. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 South LaSalle St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60604 (312) 346-4675.
