Karl Stanhibel Obituary

I had the pleasure meeting Karl as a volunteer attorney at the Center on Halsted and lost touch with him in the past several months. I learned of his passing this weekend when I searched his name on the internet and was very sad to come across this development. His positive attitude was consistent and admirable in the face of the adversity he faced. I am glad that I got the opportunity to meet him. My belated condolences to Karl's brother and family. Karl was just a delightful person to know; sweet and kind; loved his wit and hearing his critiques about the latest movie or play and his recommendations were always on target; he could brightened the day with just hearing his wonderful laugh.

Karl, I recently learned of your passing -- it makes me so sad. For all those many years we were at Sidley, you always made me laugh. You were so kind to me, and many others. Hope you're having a wonderful time in Heaven!

what a shocker. glad we got to meet at our 40th reunion out at the pizza joint in tinley park i believe .
and exchange phone calls for a short bit .
we had lots of fun and memories at LUTHER .
what an oppurtunity our parents gave us .

I always enjoyed our talks about the different plays and musicals you had seen while ushering at the different theaters in Chicago. You were a sweet and gentle soul. May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Karl and his family. May you rest Karl, may you rest. Yes, we love you but God loves you best. I am so happy to have known you and I will always have fond memories of you.

Karl will add great joy to the Fellowship in the heavens. A box seat for Karl who guided so many thespians and entertainment lovers to their seats with positives reviews all the way. What a great fellow; you will be missed. Godspeed on your next journey.

Karl will be so missed. Always had a joke or funny story and was just the super sweetest guy. I never met anyone with as many adventures as Karl.
