June Halbe Obituary
June M. Halbe, age 98. Late of Dyer, Indiana formerly of the East Side. Passed away November 5, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Fred Halbe. Loving mother of Fred (Deb) Halbe, Kathy (Alan) Miller, Robert (Lorine) Halbe, Larry (late Candy) Halbe, Diane (Nick) Polovina, Daniel Halbe, Donna (Bill) Luedtke, and Ed (Melrose) Halbe. Cherished grandmother of 21. Dearest great grandmother and great great grandmother of many. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her son in law Bill Miller, daughter in law Sharon Halbe, parents, and siblings. June enjoyed playing bocce and was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan. She was a longtime supporter of the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, the Lakota Children, and St. Jude Children's Hospital. Visitation Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services Friday, November 10, 2023 at 9:30 am from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John to St. John the Evangelist Church – Day Chapel (Corner of 93rd and 41). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
