Dear Mother:

I woke up today wanting to call you

again for my next homework assignment. It's very comforting to

know I did well in certain subjects.

But now your gone and my visits to

you are also gone. I just want you to know I've adopted a new teacher,

her name is Pat. She is not as pretty as you, but SHE IS SMART.

Thank you for having a subsitute that will carry on your work. You

have open up a book today but the pages are........

empty, I don't think that was an accident. Still you continue to touch my soul, thank you.

I told my children and grandchildren

"From now on, every day will be Mother's Day." How did I do?

Your loving daugher, Deborah

I am deeply saddened to hear about Josephines death. I did not know her very well, just long enough to know that she was one heck of a lady. My prayers and best wishes go to all of you. A thought to remember: It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Hang in there Manny my thoughts are with you. Mark

To our family,

I've spent the last week thinking about our loss of Pretty Grandma.

I've cried

I've smiled

I've remembered

but most of of all I've felt the love that she and grandpa created. I was sitting at my computer the other night reading all the entries of the guest book with my four month old son on my lap. Reading the entries and seeing everybodies pain was very upsetting but then Nic looked at me and laughed for the very first time. I then realized what Pretty Grandma has done for me. For all of us! She has blessed me with a wonderful family of children, aunts and uncles, cousins, and our Poppi.

Thank you!

Grandpa, we love you for your leadership, your love, and your life long support of Pretty Grandma. She was lucky too!

Pat, thank you for everthing you and Jim have done and will do...I think grandma picked the right person to continue her work! I love you!

Pretty Grandma, we may not be able to hold your hand or kiss your face but I see you in my children's face and in my families faces so when I kiss them I'll be kissing you too. I know you're there!!! Thank you for all you did for me and for giving us POPPI! I love you dad!

We love you Family

Today is April 24,2002, One week after we buried my Mother. I still can't beleive she is gone. I want to pick-up the phone and call her, I can hear things she use to say to me all the time in my head. I know her spirit is here with all of us but I miss her so much. I can still her here say, "Riella, when are you comming to visit me" (even thought I was just there a couple of days ago)or "Riella I have a taste for".

and then she would give me her list. Mom had such a strong hold on her children and boy! did she hold-on for dear life. Mom was more then a wonderful example of how to keep a large family together, She was the family that kept us together. The center of our world and the forgiver of our sins.

Lord, You have our precious Mother now and I too feel Blessed that you gave me to her. Thank you Lord.

As I sit here today and read all the wonderful thoughts and words received by my grandmother from her true friends and family, I realize just how wonderful one person can make a roomful of people feel. From your words my grandmother was a loving wife, a supporting mother, a cherished aunt, a comiedian for a sister, a sincere friend, a vibrant dancer, and a pretty grandmother. But what I take away from this trying time most of all is, Josephine Frances above all was a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN, whos heart was bigger than she was. As I see of all the different places people are praying from, I understand that her love truly had no boundries. I can only hope to be half the woman she was. My name is Josephine and I carry her name proudly!! Thank you so much helping me smile today as I read your words in loving memory of my Pretty Grandmother.

To my family:

My first memory of Pretty Grandma was when I was a small child. I went to visit her and my beloved Uncle Manny with my Grandmother Margaret. I said "hello" but called her Auntie Josie. She replied to me "Call me Pretty Grandma, because I am the pretty one."

I love and miss her dearly. I know she is in a better place and I thank God for the time I was able to spend with her. Pretty Grandma's love for life, family and anyone who knew her will always be remembered & treasured.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Uncle Manny, family and friends.

Love to all and God Bless

Dear family & friends:

My heartfelt condolences to all of you who grieve with us at the loss of our beautiful mother. I've seen how much she was loved. Her wake and funeral were packed with family and friends and beautiful flowers and tributes. The line of cars behind her seemed never ending. She stopped traffic! It was just as she wished. She wanted her last hurrah and she got it. At her Mass, her grandchildren paid such loving tribute to her you could feel her presence. I'm so proud of them and she was too. Every time one of the spoke, the sun's rays came down on them through the window above. It was amazing. I wish you all could have been there, but I know you were with us in spirit. She touched all of us and she will never be forgotten. She will live in our hearts forever, until the last person who loved her is gone to be with her in heaven. Thank you all again for the beautiful flowers, cards, mass cards, donations, phone calls, emails. My Dad is absolutely amazed and touched at your thoughtfulness and generosity.

God Bless you.

Dear Pretty Grandma

Before you left, I whispered a promise in your ear that I would sing your song to you and I did it. I prayed for you to give me your strength from above and you did it. I felt you in my heart and I sang my heart out Pretty Grandma. I just know you were smiling down at me. I love you and miss you dearly. Thanks Pretty Grandma for loving us all so much.

Uncle Manny and Family,

I believe a FEW people are placed placed in our lives for inspiration and guidance and altho the time was short and my memories few, "Aunti Josie" was one (of the 3) of those people in my life.

The first time I met her, She welcomed me with 'open arms', made my daughter and I feel comfortable and loved. This had a life-long impact on me. To this day... whenever her name comes up I tell my daughter, Lisa (your Niece; Joe O., Jrs daughter) how loving and accepting she was.

She was truely an inspiration to me and there is no doubt in my mind; I am a better person today for having known her. What a blessing it would be to have as positive an impact on someones life as she did on mine.

May God wrap his loving arms around you and your family during your time of sorrow. May you all take comfort knowing she is at Peace with her family and no longer suffering.
