My deepest sympathy to the family of Joseph Ungari on his recent passing. He was a powerful influence in my life, both for his stalwart defense of working people and his brilliant mind.An outstanding defender of the cultural virtues embedded in his Italian heritage as well as possessing an encyclopediac knowledge of history.O,when if ever will his kind pass our way again.Good night, sweet prince and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

On behalf of the Officers, Executive Board, members, and staff of Local 881 of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, I offer the family of Joe Ungari my deepest sympathy for their loss.

Joe was a great trade unionist who stood for everything that working people fight for each day. It was a pleasure to work with him over the years. He did not sit back idly, instead he was a brave man of action who truly made a difference in the lives of countless working families. I am proud that Joe Ungari was an honorary member of Local 881 UFCW. He will be sorely missed but we will always remember his accomplishments and dedication to the American Labor Movement.

Sincerely and Fraternally,

Ronald E. Powell

May we extend our condolences to Joe's family. We have been friends of Joe and Betty for many, many years, attending conventions and other worthwhile

Senior activities. Remember his 90th birthday party. He will be remembered

in prayers and for his remarkable memory of the labor union. Let us know when the memorial will be for him.

Sincerely, Don & Lorraine Bernson
