Stimac, Joseph P. Age 81, late of South Chicago passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Katarina "Kay"; loving father of Lori Stimac and Mary Jo (Anthony) Calcagni; devoted grandfather of Christopher Calcagni; dear brother of John (Bessie) Stimac, late Katie (late Ivica) Berakovich and late Nick (late Marlene) Stimac; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of U.S. Army 101st Airborne Korean War. Retired from Chicago Fire Dept. Repair Shop, Member of International Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union Local #126, Member of Sacred Heart Holy Name Society, founding member of Croatian Catholic Union Lodge #55 and current member of C.F.U. Lodge #3055. Visitation Sunday 1:00-8:00pm. Funeral services Monday, January 14, 2013 8:45am prayers from Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Sacred Heart Croatian Church. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Joe will always be in our hearts and memories. We enjoyed his charm and stories. We knew his love and friendship. Be comforted knowing that he made a difference in the lives of many, many people and that he is now with his beloved Kay. Our love and prayers are with you all as you go through this time.
