Joseph Sondheimer Obituary

Sondheimer, Joseph beloved husband of Ida (nee Nerenberg), devoted father of David (Patricia), Dr. Stuart (the late Janice) and Richard (Jane) Sondheimer, adoring grandfather of Claire, Scott, Steven, Jillian, Melissa, Jonathan and Elizabeth. Joseph Sondheimer was born in Muskogee, OK. While studying at Harvard Business School during WWII he served as a consultant with the Office of Civilian Defense Services, later he served with the Finance Dept. of the Army. Upon return to civilian life he began his career with Stein, Roe & Farnham an Investment Counseling Firm. He was active with many Community and Professional Organizations. Services Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at North Shore Congregation Israel, 1185 Sheridan Rd., Glencoe. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Info: Piser Funeral Services, 847-679-4740.
