Jim (Jan too),
I was sorry to here of your Dad's passing. We sure had fun at your house with Hi-League. Your parents were always kind and gracious hosts to put up with our antics!

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. It's very rare to meet a person with all the traits that Joe had - compassion, understanding, strength, humor, and selflessness. Even though we were friends and neighbors, he often treated us like family. It seemed like there was never a favor we couldn't ask, nor a favor big enough to repay him. However, Joe's kindness could never be mistaken for weakness. I looked up to him. I'm going to miss him.

Jim, Jan and Mary and Jackie,
From Pete, Linda, Ben and Brett, our deepest sympathies and condolences. We all feel very lucky to not only have known Joe and Kay, but to also have been lucky enough to live next door to them. They were without a doubt the two nicest and kindest people we have ever known. Both of them were so quick with a favor, help or a kind word that we were always trying, in some way, to repay all the kindness and favors we were always receiving from them. Our son Ben, age 11, said it was like living next door to angels. Joe and Kay were more like parents and grandparents to us than neighbors. I know one sunny summer day soon, we'll be in the backyard and two large, beautiful butterflies will glide by, linger for a moment on the rose bushes behind your house, and then all too soon take their beauty and grace upward again. We'll never forget them.
