He will be greatly missed. Dr. Piszczor was remarkable clinician. He was knowledgable, and one of the most eleemosynary clinicians I´ve known. Scriptures teaches us that faith, hope and charity are life necessities but charity is the greatest. He actually cared about our Veterans and their families. He took great care of my brother a Vietnam Veteran with Chronic PTSD. I will remember him and his kindness and generosity. RIP and peace be with his family.

I first met Joe in HS at Quigley. We became close friends later in the seminary. One of the most brilliant and kindest people I ever met. So many will miss you dear friend. Mike Scahill

Dr. Joe was a big bro to my Loyola classmate, Jim and later a Jesse Brown VA Hospital colleague of my husband, Dr. Leon Kaufmann. His dedication and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Sincere condolences to his family.. I worked with Dr. Piszczor in my first job out of grad school. He was a wonderful teacher; kind, caring, very smart and talented too (he was also singing in the Chorus at the CSO at that time). We all learned so much from him... including how important it is to keep a sense of humor in stressful situations. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him...

Joe was a wonderful doctor and a great friend. He treated our veterans as people he respected and cared about because he did respect them and care about them. He was smart and knowledgeable and had a wonderfully wicked sense of humor. I miss him. I was planning to call him and now it is too late.

Sincere condolences to all the Piszczor Family. I knew Joe in high school, college, and corresponded with him during his time in the Peace Corps. Coincidentally, I lived in Oak Park when Jim and Maureen lived there. Dr Joe will be enormously missed by his many relatives and friends, including me, over time and distance. Rest In Peace, my good friend.

I just heard that Dr. Piszczor passed and I am truly sad. I worked for him for many years at Jesse Brown and we consulted on many of his high risk Veterans. He worked so tirelessly for those Vets and truly cared about them. Many of them really missed him when he retired. I was happy when he retired so he could enjoy his life more and not work so hard since he deserved it so much. He helped so many people and he will truly be missed by so many.

I also was a classmate of Dr. Joe and unfortunately never really got to know him while were in the seminary. Really smart classmate and always handled himself with class. May he rest in the peace of Gods loving hands. God Bless Brither!
