Dear Linda and Nancy,
I'm sorry for your loss of your dear "PaPa Joe." I just read the beautifully written tribute that honors your father's well lived life. While we lived on the same block on Odell that's not how we met your Dad. It was at St. Juliana when he served as an usher. Another place I'd see Joe but with your mother was at the Jewel on Milwaukee Ave., shopping but mostly talking with an employee named Larry. Whenever I still see Larry, I'm reminded of your father. Yes, Joe connected well with people. He showed respect and was appreciated. Thank you for sharing the story of his life. May the wonderful memories he gave you during his life give you peace in the days ahead. God bless you.
