Papa-

Thanks for all you've been to myself and this family, You've been a leader, a teacher, a motivator and above all a grandfather who was always there, willing to help or listen however you could. Thank you for being one of the most influential people in my life growing up. I am proud to carry your name with me and am proud that Elisa and I were able to give it to Zach, the same way that Mom and Dad gave it to me. I hope this is a tradition which carries on in every generation to come.

Thanks also for being a great Papa for all the great grandchildren, but especially Delaney, Dylann, Zach and Ryan. I know that you will keep an ever watchful eye on all of them and help guide them in their years to come. I hope that by now you've had a chance to be with Ryan. I know you will enjoy time together with her there that none of us ever had a chance to down here.

Papa, we will all miss you greatly, but will never forget you. You have touched all of us in your own special way and helped make us who we are as people and make this family what it is. We will take the best of care of Nana. We all love you and wish for your continued guidance throughout our lives. God Bless

Nana-

Please know how much we all love you as each day passes. Papa was a great man who helped mold all of us everyday, but nobody more so than you. Don't ever lose sight of that and enjoy life the way Papa wants you to. Our family is a strong one that will continue to grow, and we will be there for you every step of the way when you need it. You are in our thoughts every day. If there is ever anything you need, please ask.

Thank you for also being such an important figure in all our lives. This wasn't a one person job and without you and Papa, none of us would be here today. Thank you so much.

Nana, we all love you so very much and look forward to many good times to come. God Bless You

Love,

Jeff, Elisa,

Delaney, Dylann

And Zach

Joe and I worked together at State Farm and he was a mentor and coach for me.

Since learning of his death, I have thought of the mornings we sat together drinking coffee and smoking our cigarets - sometimes, we would stop at Amy Joy on Milwaukee Avenue.

One of the ways Joe surprised me was the day we went to his home in Chicago and he showed me the organ he just bought. Then, he sat and played it! The organ gave huge sounds that almost shook his home.

But the look in Joe's eyes when he spoke of his family was one of the things about Joe that gave him away as a caring, loving person. That is the way I will always remember him.

God has decided Joe is needed elsewhere now but for those of us who know Joe, we will always be grateful for having him in our lives!

I wish his family the joy of the wonderful memories they have of him and the understanding that Joe is in a better place now and will continue to look over them with his love.

May God give Joe eternal rest and happiness.
