Joe was a great kid who was full of life. He was always funny and bursting with energy. I know how much he'll be missed. The most vivid memory I have of Joe was when he was a little kid and his dog had been hit by a car on Ridgeland Ave. I'll never forget how much he was heartbroken. Our thoughts and condolences to Joe's entire family.

I hung out with Joe for awhile back in the day. He had a great personality. Our prayers are with his family!

I went to Our Lady of the Ridge with Joe up until the 6th grade. We were boyfriend and girlfriend for a bit and I remember the day I bought him 2 boxes of baseball cards for Xmas, he was soo happy. I tried for years to find him on fb or asked other friends if they knew how he was. He was one of those people that you could never forget. Such a funny boy.
My condolences to the family on your loss. I heard the new the other day and couldnt believe it. Much prayers to the McGrath family

To the McGrath Family:
Yesterday i was enjoying a cool crisp day when i got the call that Joe had died. To say that i was shocked was an understatement. I immediately flashed back to all of my days as a lunch mom from Our Lady of the Ridge School - and joe's face popped into my mind. I was filled with such sorrow. Joe was quite the character - a wonderful free spirit that had a touch of the imp in him -- but, he never did anything that was mean spirited - he just was always making everyone laugh.
It is a loss to the entire community. He was a loving son - and a terrific friend - and not only his humor - but, his entire personality is going to leave a tremendous void. I have thought about him all night -- and i know that he will always have a little part in my heart - and i cannot think of him without a smile.
I extend to you my deepest sympathies. I offer a shoulder to lean on - and my prayers that your hearts will heal. Joe was a joy - and im sure as all of us have our moments -- I am sure that he had his to deal with. He was a good person - and i am sure he is soaring happily to his eternity. My thoughts, my prayers, and my support is with you. God bless you all.
