Dad you will be miss, As a kid you would play catch with me. And take me fishing even though we would not catch any fish we still had fun. How many times we stop at White Castle to get a few. All the hockey games we went to. If I could have all that time back so I could enjoy you more. Your Son Mark

Uncle Joe , such a dear man. I have so many fond memories of times at his home when I was little, playing in the vacant lot nearby with my "cousins" . Parties at Uncle Joe and Aunt Alice's were so much fun.
For my dad's birthday,(Uncle Joe's idea) he made me up as a clown to surprise my father , who thought I was sick and could not make the party. We performed such a funny skit and at the end , when my dad discovered it was me, he cried. Sweet memory.
I remember him too at my 30th birthday as Jo Jo the clown. My son Michael was on my lap , he was so afraid but warmed up to him later. Both boys loved Jo Jo the clown.
Uncle Joe was the one who filled me with good memories of my father, since they were best friends growing up. I only wish I would have had more time with him.

I did not know "Uncle Joe" very well, but I did enjoy my two visits with him during my trips to Chicago with Judy. The first trip was several years ago and he asked her what I wanted to do there. I said I wanted to ride the "L" and to see a baseball game. He was wonderful. He met us at the station and we rode from Des Plains to Rigley Field and back. He was a jolly person and I could just see him as a clown.
This past September while we were in Chicago, we rode out to meet him. He picked us up at the station and took us to eat. We had a nice lunch visit and then he took us to his home for a longer visit. He laughed and said he would have to get us back to the station before dark, he said he didn't drive after dark any more.
It will be sad to return to Chicago and not be able to visit with him.

May you have the love of friends and family to carry you through your grief. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I really enjoyed seeing Joe and getting to know him a little better at Mark's and Dorie's wedding. I know what it's like to lose a father and I just want to say, the world is a better place because of men like Joe.
